Checkout customisation for Montonio payment apps on Shopify

Montonio's payment methods are integrated directly into the Shopify checkout. The way payment methods are displayed and translated is determined by Shopify and Montonio's integration.

Montonio payment method names are automatically translated based on the language selected for your Shopify store. You can check or change the store's language in your Shopify store settings.

Shopify does not provide a built-in option to manually rename or reorder payment methods displayed at checkout. This means that merchants cannot customise the names or order of Montonio payment methods directly in the Shopify checkout settings.

Currently, no. To allow shoppers to select their bank directly within the Shopify checkout, without being redirected to an external bank-selection page, each bank or payment method must be installed as a separate payment app.

The only exception is Finnish bank payments. When shoppers select Finnish banks as their payment method, they are redirected to a separate bank-selection page where they can choose their bank. Baltic banks do not offer this option and are therefore displayed as separate payment methods in the Shopify checkout.

Montonio displays each supported bank as a separate payment method in the Shopify checkout. There is no additional gateway redirect page or country-selection dropdown for the shopper.

Montonio determines which country-specific bank login page to send the shopper to based on the shipping or billing address entered at checkout.

Montonio provides shipping functionality through the Parcely app. Currently, the Parcely app only allows shipping methods to be displayed in the cart; they cannot be displayed directly on the Shopify checkout page.
