Montonio Shipping on Shopify via Parcely

Start using Montonio shipping on Shopify through Parcely app

This guide explains how merchants can start using Montonio shipping services on their Shopify store through the Parcely app. The process differs slightly depending on whether you are an existing Parcely user or are new to the app.


Set up Shipping Carriers in Montonio Partner System

Setting up carriers means that you connect specific carriers with Montonio so that we can create shipments and labels to the correct accounts.

  • Go to the Home page from the left-hand menu → choose the store from the drop-down menu.

  • Go to Carriers tab from the left-hand menu → you will see a list of carriers. Choose one and click Get started to start connection.

  • Enter all required information needed for the specific carrier, like username or API key.

  • When you activate the first carrier, you also need to accept our Terms.


Montonio shipping contracts

You can use Shipping with Montonio special prices without signing any additional contracts.

How does it work?

When opting for this version, you will no longer have a signed contract with a shipping carrier to handle your packages. Montonio offers quick activation, pricing, sends you the invoice, and helps with all parcel-related issues, while the shipping carrier still delivers the packages.

If you already have an existing contract with a carrier (e.g. DPD), you can activate this contract in our Partner System as well. Read more here.


Existing Parcely Users (New to Montonio)

If you are already using the Parcely app on Shopify, but have not yet configured Montonio shipping, you need to add Montonio API keys to the Parcely app.


How to activate Montonio Shipping if you are already using the Parcely app?

  • Go to the General Settings in the Parcely app on Shopify side.

New Parcely Users (Wanting Montonio Shipping)

If you were not previously using the Parcely Shopify app but want to leverage Montonio Shipping on your Shopify store, the Parcely support team can set up the app and shipping methods for you without any additional setup charge.

Parcely setup process:

  • Install the Parcely Shopify app in your store from here https://apps.shopify.com/parcelyapp

  • Contact Parcely support at [email protected] and provide information on the shipping methods and their shipping rates (including VAT) you plan to offer in your store.

  • You would need to select a suitable Parcely plan based on the number of shipping methods offered in the store. Parcely's monthly fee will be added to your Shopify invoice, like any other Shopify app (Parcely fee is not included in the Montonio offering).

  • Parcely will ask additional questions if needed and send an access request to the store to set everything up for you.

Additional information

Label printing in Shopify

When printing labels on Shopify side, then you can print only one label per page using Parcely app.

But if you want to print 4, 6, 8 labels per page, then you can do it from Montonio Partner System. Learn more here: Printing shipping labels in the Montonio Partner System

Different type of checkout for Shipping in Shopify

You can choose either the Map or the List (dropdown) widget type for your checkout.

  • Go to the Parcely app General settings.

  • Find Map type widget in use

  • Switch to the preferred type.
