In order for shipping methods to also show up to your checkout, WooCommerce requires some additional setup.

Setting up a shipping zone

  1. Select WooCommerce settings under "Shipping".

  2. Under shipping, you must create a shipping zone according to the country to which you wish to deliver. To do this, click on the "Add shipping zone" button.

  3. Name the zone as you wish. Since in this example we are configuring delivery for Estonia, we will set the zone name to "EE".

  4. Select the region of the zone, which in this case is "Estonia".

Setting up shipping methods

Now we come to shipping methods, where we have to choose the methods we want to display on the checkout page. We can only use the shipping methods of the suppliers we have already connected in the Montonio Partner System.

  1. In this example, we would like to have the parcel machines of all suppliers on our checkout page. To do this, we select the Montonio parcel machine options of all three suppliers from the "Add shipping method" button.

  2. Once it is done, the view should be like this picture. You can also change the order of the methods in the checkout by re-ordering them in this list:

All "Enabled" delivery methods are now also visible on the checkout page.

Setting up shipping pricing

  1. To configure the shipping method, hover near the methods you want to change and click on the "Edit" button

  2. The desired delivery price must be set in the "Cost" field. When setting the price, keep in mind:

    1. The price can only be set as one for all parcel machine cabinet sizes in that region.

    2. If there are decimal places in the price, they must be separated by a dot "." and not by a comma.

If you would like to offer your customers free shipping from a certain shopping cart amount, you need:

  1. Tick the "Enable free shipping based on cart total" checkbox

  2. In the "Free shipping threshold" field below specify the desired shopping cart price from which the configured shipping method is free for the customer.

Or you can offer free shipping if the product quantity in the cart equals or exceeds the specified amount. To do so:

  1. Tick the "Enable quantity based free shipping" checkbox

  2. In the "Free shipping product quantity" field below specify the minimum desired amount of products in the cart for free shipping (excludes virtual products).

Measurement check options

"Enable package measurements check" field

If checked, the system will automatically check the dimensions of your products against the sizes of the shipping companies' parcel lockers. If the product exceeds the allowed dimensions, the customer will not be offered this option on the checkout page.

In addition, it is possible to hide the shipping method by weight. This can be done by adding the weight allowed in the next field "Maximum weight", above which the shipping method will no longer be shown on the checkout page for products with a higher weight.

Note! The functionality will only work if you have also set the dimensions/weight of your products on the store side.

"Hide when no measurements"

The last option "Hide when no measurements" hides the shipping method selection from the checkout page if the product has no measurements.

This option is good to use if you generally have the dimensions set for your products, but for some larger products that don't fit in the parcel machine, they are not set.

Once you're happy with your settings, click the "Save changes" button at the bottom right!
