Montonio is a payment provider that processes payments for online stores and service providers across Europe. If you paid online by bank payment or card, your statement may show Montonio instead of the store’s name.
Why does my statement say Montonio?
When you pay in an online store that uses Montonio, the payment goes through our system. Depending on your bank and payment method, your statement may show:
Montonio Finance
the store's name together with Montonio
only the store's name
This doesn’t mean you have an account or subscription with Montonio. In most cases, it’s a purchase from an online store that accepts payments through Montonio.
How to find out what the charge is for
Check your email for an order confirmation or receipt from the same date and amount. Also check your spam folder.
Think about your recent online payments, for example, for tickets, courses, appointments or restaurant tips. Smaller ones are easy to forget.
Ask family members or anyone else who may have used your card or bank account.
Check the payment details in your bank app. They often include an order number or reference that helps identify the store.
Still can't find it?
Contact us and include:
the date and amount of the payment
the payment method (bank payment or card)
the exact text shown on your bank or card statement
the store's name or website, if you have an idea which one it might be
We'll help you find out which store received the payment so you can contact them directly.
Never share your full card number, PIN or online banking login details with anyone, including us.
Think the payment wasn't made by you?
If you're sure you didn't make or authorise the payment, contact your bank or card issuer as soon as possible. They can block your card if needed and help you dispute the payment.
Need a refund or have a question about your order?
Refunds, deliveries and order changes are handled by the store where you made the purchase. Please contact the store directly. Montonio can't cancel orders or issue refunds on a store's behalf.
