Montonio Card Payments for WooCommerce
For merchants using Montonio's WooCommerce plugin, the Montonio x Adyen card payment solution, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, is available.
Card payments activation on the Partner System side
First, make sure you have completed the activation process in the Partner System. If card payments are not yet activated, follow these steps:
Log in to Montonio Partner System.
Go to the Home page from the left-hand menu.
Choose the store from the drop-down menu.
Scroll to the bottom of the page. Click Activate near Card payments.
Read the pricing and terms for Montonio card payments.
Select the desired payout frequency. See Balance & Payouts for more details.
Confirm that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions.
After card payments are activated, you will see a green Active status next to the card payments option.
⚠️ Important to note:
Starter and Core plans have card payments enabled by default to improve conversion and attract modern shoppers. Learn more about the benefits here: Why card and wallet payments are essential in Starter and Core plans
Core Flex and Custom plans allow merchants to customise their features, including the option to disable card payments.

Montonio x WooCommerce plugin
To get started, ensure that the Montonio plugin is installed and up to date. Follow the instructions here: Installing and updating Montonio for WooCommerce.
Connect your Montonio account
After installing or updating the plugin, connect your Montonio account to your WooCommerce store:
Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payment Methods → Montonio Bank Payments.
Under API settings, enter your API keys. You can access your API keys in Montonio Partner System.

Setting up Card payments
After activating the card payment solution in our Partner System and entering the Live API keys in WooCommerce settings:
Click on Card payments in the left-side menu.
Tick the Enable Montonio Card Payments checkbox.
Click Save changes.
⚠️ Note: Don’t forget to turn off Enable Test Mode when you start accepting payments. Make sure to click Save changes at the bottom of the page to apply any updates.
Once Montonio card payments are activated, you can manage your payments in the Partner System under Orders, and view your balance and payouts under Payouts.
What are the advantages of the Card payment solution?
No extra verification. Once card payments are activated, no further verification is needed.
Direct payouts. For card payments processed via Adyen, payouts come from Montonio and include a payout UUID on your bank statement.
Faster payouts. When selecting daily payout frequency, payments follow a T+2 business day schedule (e.g., a payment made on Monday (T) will be paid out by Wednesday (+2)).
Manage in Partner System. Handle payments and refunds directly in the Montonio Partner System.
