How to test Montonio payments and Shipping for Magento 2
The Montonio for Magento 2 plugin is designed to seamlessly integrate Montonio payment options into your store. Before you start testing payments, you will need to install the Montonio for Magento 2 plugin. Follow the instructions below to get started.
1. Installing and Updating Montonio for Magento 2
To install the Montonio for Magento 2 plugin, follow the steps here: Montonio for Magento 2
2. Payment methods configuration
Go to Magento 2 admin panel --> Stores --> Configuration --> Sales --> Payment methods. Choose what payment methods you want to integrate and start testing.
Sandbox API võtmed
To test each payment method you will need to obtain sandbox API keys from the Montonio Partner system.

To configure for example card payments:
Enable Card payments.
Set the environment for "Sandbox".
Paste Sandbox API keys, which you have obtained before.
Save the changes! The same logic appears for other payment methods.
3. Test Montonio payment methods in your store
After completing all the steps, you can test our payment methods on your website, by adding a product to your cart and going to checkout. Choose one of the payment methods and click “Complete or place order”.
After completing the test order, it must appear in the Partner system in the "Orders" tab.

4. Montonio Shipping for Magento 2
Shipping V2 is now available for Magento 2. Integrating with Magento 2 requires advanced IT know-how since you need to manually install the module via Composer. Check out our guide to make sure you finish all installation and configuration steps for using Montonio Shipping.
Turn on carriers in the Partner System
Depends on what carriers you want to use or try out, you need to activate them in our Partner System. Before activating carriers for testing, don't forget to turn on Test mode in the Partner System.
Log in to the Partner System --> go to Stores tab.
Click on your store --> go to products.
Go to Shipping tab --> activate the carriers which you want to test.
No need to use real credentials, you can write whatever you want in the activation forms for carriers.
5. Test Montonio shipping methods in your store
Same as with testing payments, add a product to your cart and go to checkout. Choose a payment method, then choose a shipping method and click “Complete or place order”.
Important note if your Business is already active in the Partner system ❗️
To review test order information in the Montonio Partner system - it is important to use Test Mode. Simply toggle the Test Mode button to activate it. Once you see the yellow line at the top of the page - it means you are in the sandbox environment:
To review real order information, simply switch off the Test mode button.
How to start accepting real payments?
This applies if your account has been activated in our Partner System:
NOTE! To start accepting real payments, make sure that you have turned off the test mode and activated each payment method in the Partner System.
Also, make sure you have set the environment to "Production" and changed Sandbox API keys for LIVE API keys.
