You have been a Montonio user for some time and as our internal rules and registration processes have changed over time, we ask you to review and re-confirm your business details.
Why do we ask for documents?
As we are a licensed payment institution in the Republic of Lithuania, we must comply with the Lithuanian Anti-Money Laundering Regulations and apply the Know Your Customer principle. Therefore, we need to collect and verify information about our clients and their beneficial owners.
We hope you understand that all these processes are essential to ensure the security of our services.
What documents need to be provided?
Submission of Documents
Note! Only businesses registered in Lithuania have to upload mandatory documents.
You need to submit the necessary documents for registration. Mandatory is the latest version of your company's registration extract (not older than 6 months). Our compliance department can ask for some additional documents.
Who can submit documents?
Only a person with the signatory rights, i.e. a person who has the right to represent the company according to the business registry and/or the individual holding Power of Attorney can confirm the company's details.
To submit documents, follow these steps:
Step 1: Sign in to partner.montonio.com
Sign in to our partner system. Make sure you use the correct email address that you used when signing up. If you don't remember your password, click on the Forgot password button to reset it.
Step 2: Confirm business details
Once you've signed in, you'll see a yellow banner that says to complete your business info. It means that a signatory (manager, board member, director) must confirm your business details. Click on Verify your business to proceed.
Check that the company details are correct and update them if necessary. Make sure that the information is relevant and matches the information in the business registry.
Step 3: Submit documents
Note! Only businesses registered in Lithuania have to upload mandatory documents.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and upload the requested documents based on the business registry.
The mandatory document is the Business registration certificate not older than 6 months. However, it is possible that our compliance department can ask you to upload some additional documents.
Documents can be found in your local business registry:

If you have uploaded the needed document proceed to the Next page.
Step 4: Beneficial owners
List of stakeholders such as signatories, and beneficial owners connected to your business. If you have questions regarding stakeholders, read the article here: Who are stakeholders?
Choose citizenship for all of the stakeholders. All the stakeholders will be prefilled from your local business registry, but if your business is registered in Lithuania, you will have to fill in all information manually.
To add a new stakeholder, click the "Add a stakeholder" button. Fill in all needed information. And if you need to edit or add additional information connected with a specific beneficial owner click the "Edit" button.
Note! You should add all beneficial owners of your business. Beneficial owners are individuals directly or indirectly owning more than 25% of company shares. If there is no one owning more than 25%, individuals owning more than 10% must be registered

Step 5: Accept terms and conditions
Once you've reviewed your business details and everything is correct, you'll need to accept our terms and conditions. Read the terms carefully and click on the Accept button to proceed.
Step 6: Verify yourself
Finally, you'll need to verify your identity with either Veriff or e-ID options. This step is important to ensure that we're complying with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations. Follow the instructions provided by the verification provider to complete the process.
Note! The signatory person, who is above the Terms and Conditions is the one who has to verify himself.
