Returns for SmartPosti by Montonio
SMS returns for SmartPosti by Montonio are not supported.
Instead of SMS returns, regular returns for SmartPosti by Montonio are supported by default to all merchants.
For your customer to create the return:
Advise your customer to go the Smartposti self service --> where the customer needs to enter original parcel tracking code.
With that return code, the customer should send the parcel back to you.
We'll charge you for the return afterwards.
SMS returns
If you as a merchant want to enable free returns for your customers, you can do it in our Partner System.
Enabling SMS returns for your customers in the Partner System is currently available for Venipak direct contracts, Omniva by Montonio, Unisend by Montonio, and DPD by Montonio.
You should contact each carrier directly if you have direct contracts and want to enable returns for them as well.
What does enabling SMS returns mean?
Your customer will get a parcel locker code that they can use to return the parcel within 14 days of the parcel's arrival. This code will be in the same SMS that they get when the parcel arrives at the machine.
The returns are free for your customers, but you as a merchant will have to pay for the return. When using Montonio pricing, the returns price can be found in each carrier's settings in the Partner System. If you have direct contracts, then the price depends on the agreement with the specific carrier.
Note! You as a merchant do not see the parcel return codes. These are only sent to the customer.
How to enable SMS returns for your customers in the Partner System?
1. Log in to the Partner System.
2. Go to the Home page from the left-hand menu --> Choose the store from the drop-down menu.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Click Activate/Settings near Shipping.
4. Go to the shipping carrier settings you want to enable returns for (e.g. Omniva).
4. Tick the box near Yes, send SMS return code.
5. Save the changes.
