Understanding and managing your account's Additional Security Layer

This section explains the available options for adding an extra layer of security to your Montonio Partner System account and how to check which security methods are enabled. Implementing an additional security measure helps protect your account when performing specific actions within the Partner System.

Available Options for Additional Security

In Montonio Partner System, we offer several methods to enhance the security of your account. You can choose one or more of the following options:

  • Password: This is the primary authentication method you configure when initially creating your Montonio Partner System account.

  • e-ID Identification or ID-card: This method utilizes electronic identification tools for secure verification. Examples of e-ID options supported by Montonio include:

    • Smart-ID

    • Mobiil-ID

    • ID-card

  • SMS Authentication: This security layer involves receiving a verification code via SMS on your registered mobile phone number. This code is required in addition to your password for certain actions.

  • App Authentication: Examples of compatible authenticator applications include:

    • Google Authenticator

    • Authy, etc.

How to Check Your Enabled Security Methods

1. Log in to the Partner System.

2. Navigate to Your Account Settings: Once logged in, locate the user icon in the upper right corner of the screen and click on it. From the dropdown menu that appears, select My account.

3. Access the Security Section: On the "My account" page, find the Security section. Within this section, you will see a list of all the available additional security methods (Password, e-ID identification, SMS authentication, and App authentication).

The method(s) that are currently activated for your account will be clearly indicated. You can also view and manage your password from this same "Security" section.
